The APSS veterinarian also stated dyspnea is the result of increased bronchial secretions, bronchoconstriction, and decreased contraction of the respiratory muscles. The APSS veterinarian also stated the nicotinic signs are muscle tremors, twitching, weakness and paresis progressing to paralysis. The APSS veterinarian also stated central nervous system (CNS) signs are hyperactivity, tremors and seizures.
