On approximately 1- Nov-2014, an 11 year old, male, Unknown Breed feline, of unknown weight and condition, with no known concomitant medical conditions, was administered an unknown amount of Advantage II Large Dog (Imidacloprid- Pyriproxyfen) topically by the owner. This product is not labeled for use on cats.

On approximately 21- Nov 2014, the cat was administered unspecified vaccines by the attending vet. Immediately after the vaccines the cat was hypersalivating. Approximately 1 hour post vaccines the cat was ataxic. On approximately 9-Feb-2015 the cat died at home. No necropsy was performed. Due to the sensitive nature of the communication, specific relevant event details were not obtained, nor will such be sought. The reason for the phone call was to discuss product stability once a tube was opened and not to report the death of this cat. No further information is expected. This case is closed.
