On 15-Dec-2014, a 3 year old, 4 pound, intact, female, Domestic Longhair feline, in fair condition, with an active flea infestation, was administered an unknown amount of Advantage II (dog-unspecified) (Imidacloprid-Pyriproxyfen) topically by the owner. This is an extra-label use of the product as it is not labelled for application on felines.

On an unspecified date post application, in Dec-2014, the cat had diarrhea immediately post eating. On 19Dec2014, the cat was dehydrated and died. The cat was not evaluated or treated by a veterinarian for the clinical signs. No known necropsy was performed. No further information is expected. This case is closed.
