On an unknown date in approximately 2014, the dog died. It is unknown if a necropsy was performed. No further information is expected. This case is closed. The reason for the initial call was to discuss ticks and not to report the death of this canine.

18. Severity classification (if there is more than 1 possible classification

Death

19. Provide supplemental information here

Death is not expected in dog after product application, as inconsistent with pharmaco-toxicological product profile. Even level of information available seems low e.g. age, weight, condition of dog, medical history, product details and necropsy not available, other etiologies more probable. 'Exact time to onset is unknown but seems exceptionally long (2 years). The reason for the initial call to Bayer was to discuss ticks and not to report the death of this canine. Moreover, it was also reported that the product was used on the dog for a significant period of time with no issues and had not been applied for approximately 2 years prior to this event. Considering overall aspects, product connection deemed to be unlikely.
