On October 22, 2014 the cat developed symptoms. On October 27, 2014 the owner contacted the Animal Product Safety Service (APSS). The APSS veterinarian stated there is some risk for dermal irritation with any topical product, signs would be expected to be self limiting. The APSS assistant recommended monitoring the cat at home, consulting with a veterinarian (regarding flea control), and calling back with questions.
