1-38946392 - The reporter, a pet owner, indicated that her cat was exposed to an insecticidal collar containing the active ingredient tetrachlorvinphos. The pet owner applied the collar to her 4-year-old, 15 pound, male domestic shorthaired cat about one month prior to initial contact with the registrant. The cat did not have any symptoms for a period of two weeks but then two weeks after the collar was applied the reporter noted that her cat was lethargic and was vocalizing excessively. The cat passed away the following day. No veterinary care was sought. The reporter was advised that the time frame in which the symptoms developed is not consistent with exposure to the product and there was likely something else affecting the cats health. No additional information is available.
