A pet owner applied 1 tube of advantage II med dog to a 7 yr old 10 kg FS westie. The owner presented the pet to the veterinarian for generalized skin redness on Sept 9 and reported the skin redness started sometime after advantage II application ( 7 days). The pet was treated with cephalexin and Benadryl. The pet was examined again Sept 27 for generalized skin redness and treated with vanectyl P. Pet had been treated with advantage in the past with no concerns but had not used advantage II before Aug 30 2014.
