(eg. description of the frequency and severity of the symptoms
1-38215147 - The reporter, a veterinarian, indicated that a dog was exposed to an insecticidal spray containing the active ingredients tetrachlorvinphos and methoprene. The pet owner applied the spray to their 11-year-old, 43 pound, male mixed breed dog four days prior to initial contact with the registrant. The following day the dog was anorexic, vomiting, lethargic and had a fever. The dog was still ill at the time of the initial call. On follow-up call, three days later, the reporter indicated that the dog was treated (The treatment provided was not indicated.) but he did not get better. The dog was sent home with the owners the same day but the owners brought the dog back to the veterinarian the following day because it was not doing well. On the second visit to the clinic the dog was given fluids but it passed away at the clinic later in the day. A necropsy was recommended to help determine an underlying cause for death but the body was no longer available. No further information is available.
