1-38304103 - The reporter, a pet owner, indicated that his goat was exposed to a molluscicide containing the active ingredient metaldehyde. Two hours prior to initial contact with the registrant the reporters goat ate a couple of mouthfuls of the product and at the time of the initial call the goat was jerking, shaking, seemed frightened, was yelling and his stomach was rumbling. The reporter was advised to seek immediate medical attention. On follow-up call, two days later, the reporter indicated that the veterinarian came out about 4 hours after the exposure and gave the goat some unidentified shots (The shots may have been for sedation) but when the veterinarian tried to pump the goats stomach the goat went into cardiac arrest and died. No further information is available.
