On an unknown date in 2013 the cat began to vocalize and then was found dead that day by the owner. No necropsy was performed. No further information is expected. This case is closed.

The owner was calling to request donation of product, not to report the death of this animal. Reporting of occurrence over at least half a year after product application (ref. linked case USA-BAYERBAH-2013-US0025568), thus occurrence of fatal outcome probably not within close time of last product application. Nevertheless, vocalising followed by death is not expected after product application, as inconsistent with pharmaco-toxicological product profile. Product has wide margin of safety. Oral LD50 in rat 642 mg / kg BW. 24-fold overdosage tolerated by cats without showing any side effect. Other underlying causes unknown. Therefore is a product relation considered unlikely.
