(eg. description of the frequency and severity of the symptoms
1-36381228 - The reporter, a veterinary technician, indicated that two cats were exposed to a spot-on insecticide containing the active ingredient methoprene. The reporter indicated that the pet owner had applied the product to her 8-year-old, cat (Subform III #1) and to her 6-year-old, cat (Subform III #2) in the evening, one day prior to initial contact with the registrant. The following day at approximately 3pm both cats presented to the clinic with tremors which had developed sometime within the last hour. The reporter was advised that the product has little to no toxicity in mammals and tremors are not expected after exposure. Pyrethroid hair testing was recommended to help determine if the cats might have also been exposed to a pyrethroid insecticide. The reporter could not be reached on follow-up. No further information is available.
