On approximately 12Nov2013 the canine was examined by a veterinarian for unspecified clinical signs and was diagnosed with an abdominal mass. The canine died on 19Nov2013. It is unknown if a necropsy was performed. Note: Previous application well tolerated. The owner called to inquire about bathing with the product use and not to report death of the dog.

18. Severity classification (if there is more than 1 possible classification
Death
19. Provide supplemental information here
Neoplasia and death is not expected in dogs after product application, as inconsistent with pharmaco-toxicological product profile. Other etiologies are more probable in this geriatric dog (13 years), i.e. the dog was diagnosed with abdominal neoplasm, probably the reason for death. Reliability is questionable due to very low level of information (unspecified neoplasia, necropsy not available) as the intent of the phone call to Bayer was to ask about product efficacy and bathing his other dogs, and not to report the death of the patient. Previous applications well tolerated. Considering all aspects, product connection deemed to be unlikely.
