On August 24, 2013 the owner noticed that the cat had an isolated episode of drooling; about an hour later the owner bathed the cat with a liquid dish washing detergent (LDWD). On August 25, 2013 the owner noticed that the cat had another isolated episode of drooling. Later that day the owner contacted the Animal Product Safety Service (APSS) to obtain help. The APSS veterinarian stated that taste reactions were possible. The APSS veterinarian recommended that the owner bathe the cat with LDWD, give the cat a taste treat, and call back with questions; the APSS veterinarian also referred the owner to the product's manufacturer to discuss a refund.
