On August 3, 2013 the owner noticed that the cat was symptomatic shortly after the product had been applied. A short time later that morning the owner contacted the Animal Product Safety Service (APSS) to obtain help. The APSS assistant stated that the main concern was for gastrointestinal (GI) upset. During the consultation, the owner stated that the cat's signs had ended. The APSS assistant recommended that the owner dilute the product with milk or wet food, monitor the cat for GI signs of vomiting and nausea, manage any vomiting by giving nothing by mouth for 1 hour and then gradually reintroducing water and food, and call back with questions.
