(eg. description of the frequency and severity of the symptoms
On June 11, 2013 the owner noticed that the cat was mildly lethargic and mildly anorexic. A couple of days later, on June 13, 2013, the owner noticed that the cat's lethargy and anorexia had worsened and that the cat was vomiting. On June 14, 2013 the owner's regular veterinarian contacted the Animal Product Safety Service (APSS) to obtain help. The APSS veterinarian stated that the product only contains an insect growth regulator (IGR) as an active ingredient and that no signs would be anticipated. The APSS veterinarian recommended that the owner's regular veterinarian perform a diagnostic evaluation and call back with questions.
Moderate
The APSS veterinarian stated that the substance was not considered to be related to causing the clinical situation. On June 18, 2013 an APSS assistant called the owner's regular veterinarian to update the case. The veterinary staff stated that at an unspecified time, a diagnostic evaluation had been done to check on the cat's condition, and blood work revealed that the cat had very slightly elevated aspartate aminotransferase (AST) and alanine aminotransferase (ALT) levels. The veterinary staff also stated that the cat had fully recovered on June 17, 2013.
