The pet got into one ant trap on 5/7 or 5/8 when the owner was not home. The pet became lethargic and not acting himself around 5/9. The pet has been sleeping more than normal. The owner does not think there was any plastic missing. The pet was not excited to go for a car ride today, that is very abnormal for this pet. The pet has been eating normally, but his energy level has diminished. The owner was advised that no significant clinical signs expected. May see mild self-limiting GI upset, NPO if vomiting occurs. If plastic ingested, fbo is possible. Since clinical signs are continuing and/or worsening, take to DVM for PE and diagnostic work up.
