(eg. description of the frequency and severity of the symptoms
9/6/2013: The caller reports her 2 pound 6 year-old dog was found to be eating the product yesterday. The caller estimated the animal may have ingested a tsp or more. The dog developed seizures and vomiting and was taken to a veterinarian. Follow-up was completed with the animal owner on September 9, 2013. The DVM said the dog was too far gone and allegedly did not offer any treatments or euthanasia. The dog was brought back home and she died on on 9/7/2013.
Death
The information contained in this report is based on self-reported statements provided to the registrant during telephone Interview(s). These self-reported descriptions of an incident have not been independently verified to be factually correct or complete descriptions of the incident. For that reason, information contained in this report does not and can not form the basis for a determination of whether the reported clinical effects are causally related to exposure to the product identified in the telephone interviews. Even consider this dog's extremely small size, the ingestion of a 0.1% pyrethrin dust would not be expected to lead to significant fatal toxicity. This history is highly suspect with a allegation of a veterinarian reportedly declining treatments or offering euthanasia.
