Death

19. Provide supplemental information here

Death reported almost 1 1/2 year after last product exposure, occurrence of fatal outcome probably not within close time of product application. Acute anemia and death are inconsistent with pharmaco-toxicological product profile and experience. Product has wide margin of safety. Oral LD50 in rat 642 mg/kg BW. 20-fold overdosage tolerated by dogs without showing any side effect. Exact time to onset unknown but onset death too long after last exposure. The cause of death of this geriatric dog was probably due to underlying cause of anemia according to case description. Product was used on animal before without causing any signs. Finally, a product relation can be completely excluded.
