1-34381497 - The reporter, a pet owner, indicated that her dog was exposed to a molluscicide containing the active ingredient Ferric phosphate. The reporter indicated that on the day of initial contact with the registrant her 3.5 year old, 69 pound dog was seen in the application area ingesting this product and now the dog is lethargic. One day prior to initial contact with the registrant the reporter brought her dog to the veterinarian because it was not doing well. On physical exam the veterinarian found that the dog had a tense abdomen. The dog was discharged that day without treatment. At the time of the initial call the reporter indicated that she now believed her dog had symptoms one day prior because it had ingested some of the product on that day. The reporter was advised that small ingestions of this product, as described in this case, may cause transient gastrointestinal irritation and symptomatic and supportive care was recommended for any severe or persistent symptoms. No further information is available.
