1-34923156 - The reporter, a pet owner, indicated that his dog was exposed to an herbicide containing the active ingredient iron EDTA. The reporter indicated that he applied the product three weeks prior to initial contact with the registrant and about 2 hours after product application the reporter found his 2-year-old, 35 pound mixed breed dog licking the application site. The reporter indicates that since the exposure his dogs bark has changed, the dog is eating grass, vomiting and the dogs stools are black. The reporter was advised that there are numerous possible causes for the described symptoms and veterinary care was recommended to determine an underlying cause and appropriate treatment. On follow-up call, 6 days later, the reporter indicated that the dog was taken to the veterinarian where it was diagnosed with a bowel infection and placed on antibiotics. The dog was back to normal at the time of the follow-up call. No further information is available.
