1-34714494 - The reporter, a pet owner, indicated that his cat was exposed to an insecticidal product containing the active ingredient methoprene. The reporter indicated that he applied the product to his 7-year-old, male, 9 pound cat one month prior to initial contact with the registrant. The started to drool shortly after product application and then hid. Fifteen minutes later the cat came out of hiding and the drooling had resolved. No other symptoms were seen. The reporter was advised that the product has little to no toxicity in mammals but with ingestion of the product drooling may occur due to the unpleasant taste. No further information is available.
