1-34602079 - The reporter indicates that his wife was exposed to an insecticide containing the active ingredient Lambda-cyhalothrin. The reporter indicates that on the day of initial contact his wife was standing near him while he was applying this product and within 15 minutes she felt like her face was on fire and her eyes were in pain. Per the reporter she washed right away but it only made the symptoms worse. She then went to the doctor who prescribed Benadryl which did not help. At the time of initial contact the patient was in the shower but symptoms were still persisting. The reporter was advised that skin exposure may cause transient parasthesia and ocular exposure may cause transient irritation. Topical application of vitamin E oil on the affected skin was recommended. On callback, one day later, the reporter indicated that symptoms had completely resolved. No further information is available.
