1-34098034 - The reporter indicated that her husband was exposed to an herbicide containing the active ingredient Ferric HEDTA. The reporter stated that her husband applied the product to his lawn four days prior to initial contact with the registrant. No specific exposure to the product occurred during application but one day after application the patient was not feeling well and had diarrhea. The symptoms were still persistent at the time of initial contact. The reporter was advised that the product has a wide margin of safety and there are numerous causes for the described symptoms. Diarrhea would only be expected from direct consumption of this product. Medical attention was recommended to identify an underlying cause and appropriate treatment. No further information is available.
