Bandit is a 2 year old, female spayed, domestic short hair weighing 6 pounds. Bandit was infested with fleas and the owner felt the cat was anemic due to the flea bites and was administering a multi vitamin plus iron to the cat. On 12July11 Advantage II Small Cat was applied to Bandit. Approximately 12 hours after product application the cat appeared lethargic. On 14July11 Bandit died in her sleep. No necropsy was performed.

19. Provide supplemental information here
Two drugs used concurrently and cat had underlying anaemia. Fatal outcome not expected after topical Advantage II application, as inconsistent with pharmacotoxicological product profile. No sign of allergic/anaphylactic reaction reported. Rather unusual that both cats showed same signs and died on same day. Most likely signs observed and fatal outcome caused by another underlying disease or intoxication (e.g. rat poison). However, as no necropsy or other examination results available case remains unclassified.
