On 4/16/13, DuPont was notified by a landowner who had complained to them regarding the death of his bull. It is unknown when the bull died, but it was reported to the coop within the last 2 weeks. Accord XRT II (EPA reg. no 62719556) was applied at 4% by volume, Lineage Clearstand (EPA reg. no 352766) at 25.2 ounces/100, Tordon K (EPA reg. no 6271917) at 1% by volume, and surfactant at 0.5% by volume were applied via low volume backpack application to an electric utility distribution rightofway for foliage brush control. The application was performed in summer 2012. Reports that the bull did undergo an autopsy (at an unknown date) and the cause of death was reported to be arsenic poisoning by the vet. The coop is preparing to send a letter to the landowner that arsenic can occur naturally in the soil and that none of the herbicides the coop applied contain arsenic.
