Subform VII: Scientific Study

1. Study Reference

Title Effects of 2,4-Dichlorophenol on Reproduction of the Predatory Mite Hypoaspis Aculeifer in Artificial Soil with 5% Peat

Date 24-NOV-11

2. a) Is an extension needed to translate the document?

No

3. Type of incident identified in the study

Presence of a component or derivitive

4. Describe the incident identified in the study (e.g. study demonstrates an increased risk to non-Hodgkin's Lymphoma after exposure to pesticide X)

2,4-dichlorophenol caused no significant effects on mortality of Hypoaspis aculeifer up to and including the concentration of 10 mg test item/kg soil. Reproduction was statistically significant at the concentrations of 1.25 mg test item/kg soil which was not considered to be treatment related. At 10 mg test item/kg soil reproduction was statistically significantly reduced. Therefore, the No Observed Effect Concentration (NOEC) was determined to be 5.0 mg test item/kg soil. The Lowest Observed Effect Concentration (LOEC) was determined to be 10 mg test item/kg soil and the EC50 was estimated to be greater than 10 mg test item/kg soil.

5. a) Was the study discontinued before completion?

No

5. b) Provide the reason for discontinuation

6. If the study is ongoing, what is the expected completion date?

For Registrant use only
