On April 30/2012 the cat passed away. No necropsy was performed. Recent diagnosis of renal failure prior to application as well as weight loss. Cat was taken to veterinary clinic as she stopped eating. Bloodwork revealed elevated renal values. Cat was given subcutaneous fluids and given instructions on how to administer at home and was put on special diet.

Actually used product unclear. Advantix contains permethrin which is toxic to cats. Typical signs of feline permethrin toxicosis are digestive tract and neurological disorders. Advantix is no nephrotoxic and no signs of feline toxicosis reported. Finally onset time of 14 days allows exclusion of product relation.
