On August 26, 2012 the owner noticed that the cat was having tremors and was symptomatic Later that evening, the owner contacted the Animal Product Safety Service (APSS) to obtain help. The APSS veterinarian stated that bathing can lower the body temperature further, increasing the severity of clinical signs. The APSS veterinarian recommended that the owner take the cat to the veterinarian and have the veterinarian call for information.

The APSS veterinarian stated that the substance was considered to have a high likelihood of causing the clinical situation. A follow up was not performed, because additional information was not expected. Therefore, the outcome of this case is unknown. Label clearly cautions not to use this product on cats for dogs only.
