1-31803323 - The reporter, a friend of a pet owner, indicated that her friends cat was exposed to an insecticidal product containing the active ingredient methoprene. The reporter indicated that the product was applied to a 9-year-old, 7 pound male domestic shorthair ten days prior to initial contact with the registrant. The day after application the cat was lethargic and staggering. The cat died three days after product application. The cat was not decontaminated and no veterinary care was provided. The reporter was advised that the product has little to no toxicity in mammals and the described symptoms are not consistent with product exposure. No further information is available.
