1-31787811 - The reporter, a pet owner, indicated that her cat was exposed to an insecticidal product containing the active ingredient methoprene. The pet owner reported that the product was applied 1 hour prior to initial contact with the registrant to her 1-year-old male cat and almost immediately after product application her cat started drooling. The reporter was advised that the active ingredient is an insect growth regulator which has little to no toxicity to mammals. Ingestion of the product may cause drooling due to the unpleasant taste. The reporter was advised to bath her cat with a non-insecticidal shampoo. No further information is available.
