On May 28, 2012 the owner noticed that the dog was symptomatic. Later that morning, the owner observed that the dog had died, and he found that the dog had also had a hemorrhage, as blood was observed around the dog's body. On May 29, 2012 the owner contacted the Animal Product Safety Service (APSS) to obtain help. The APSS veterinarian stated that death would not be expected. The APSS veterinarian recommended that the owner have a necropsy for the dog and have his veterinarian call for information regarding the necropsy.
