1-31036449 - The reporter, a pet owner, indicated that her cat was exposed to an insecticidal product containing the active ingredient tetrachlorvinphos. The pet owner reported that the product was applied to her 1-year-old, male domestic shorthair 1-2 hours prior to initial contact with the registrant and about one hour after product application the cat sprayed urine that contained blood. The reporter also indicated that the cat was drooling. The reporter was advised that blood in the urine would not be consistent with product exposure drooling is possible with ingestion of the product due to the bad taste of the product. The reporter was further advised to offer the cat something to drink and to seek immediate medical attention for the blood in the urine. On follow-up, 3 days later, the pet owner indicated that she had taken the cat to the veterinarian and a urine culture was recommended but she could not afford the cost. No further information is available.
