1-30900258- The reporter, a pet owner, indicated his animal had been exposed to an insecticide containing the active ingredients methoprene and tetrachlorvinphos. The reporter indicated the product had been applied to his ten year male seven pound Miniature Pinscher dog at an indeterminate time frame preceding the initial call. The reporter indicated he had washed the dog with a noninsecticidal shampoo and added the product to the shampoo. The reporter indicated the animal had played for 15-20 minutes, the animal was placed in its pen, and sometime later the animal was found dead in its kennel. The animal was not taken to the veterinarian prior to its death. The outcome seen would not be anticipated following use of this product according to label. No further information is available.
