Owner applied K9 advantix May 1 2012. On May 14 the owner noticed a lump under the skin between the shoulder blades. The dog was examined the same day and the DVM noted a 7 X 8 X 3.5 cm discreet subcutaneous mass located between the shoulder blades. A fine needle aspirate was done and mixed mild inflammation was noted. No treatment has yet been given ..

Update June 29 2012. Biopsy was collected, returned as lipsarcoma. Surface tissue was normal, only deeper tissue affected so unlikely to be related. Dog's condition deteriorated and dog was euthanized June 8 2012.
