Owner applied vitamin E and two tubes of k9 advantix to horse along neck. Owner noticed that right away that the skin seemed to blister. Once dry, the area where the advantix had been applied was crusty and sticky. Within 2 days the hair started to fall out in these areas and by three days the affected areas were swollen, alopecic and ulcerated with a serous exudate. The horse was examined March 22 and treated.
