1-29488072- The reporter, a pet owner, indicates her animal may have been exposed to an insecticide containing the active ingredient methoprene. The pet owner indicted she had applied the product to her one year male eleven pound domestic shorthair cat one day prior to her initial contact with the registrant. The pet owner had noted tremor and seizure in the animal within twenty four hours of application. The pet owner had taken the animal to the veterinarian where blood tests had been done, the animal was bathed and suggestions were made. The pet owner had declined continued veterinary care due to cost. The pet owner was advised to seek veterinary care if the animal worsened or progressed the signs seen would not be expected when using the formulation described. The pet owner did not respond to follow up. No further information is available.
