1-29820886- The reporter, a pet owner, indicated his animal was exposed to and herbicidal product containing the active ingredient corn gluten meal. The reporter indicated her one year female twenty pound pug dog had ingested a few granules of the product from an application area the day prior to her initial call. The pet had been intermittently vomiting since the night prior to her initial contact. The pet owner was advised that dietary indiscretion in animals can sometimes yield nonspecific gastrointestinal irritation. No harm would be expected following the exposure as described. She was advised of symptomatic care that may be provided at home and the threshold at which to seek veterinary assistance. On follow up five days alter the pet owner stated the animal spontaneously resolved within three days. It was not taken to the veterinarian. No further information is available.
