The owner immediately took the cats to the veterinarian, where Diazepam was administered to both of them. Later that evening, the veterinarian euthanized both cats. On November 18, 2011 the owner contacted the Animal Product Safety Service (APSS) to obtain help. The APSS veterinarian stated that clinical signs are not expected when the agent is used as directed.
