On July 1, 2011, immediately after applying the product to the dog, the owner noticed the dog had generalized pruritus. On August 17, 2011 the owner observed that the dog had generalized acute moist dermatitis. Between September 11 and September 17, 2011 the owner took the dog to the veterinarian, where Imidacloprid was administered to the dog. On September 17, 2011 the owner contacted the Animal Product Safety Service (APSS) to obtain help. The APSS technician stated that dermal hypersensitivity could be seen from the exposure and that signs should be self-limiting.
