On October 23, 2011 the owner clipped the dog's hair and bathed the dog. About an hour later, the owner applied the product to the dog. Several hours later, the owner noticed the dog's skin had turned green around the application site. On October 24, 2011 the owner contacted the Animal Product Safety Service (APSS) to obtain help. The APSS veterinarian stated that the ingredients in the product have a wide margin of safety and that significant effects were not expected. The APSS veterinarian also stated that occasionally skin or hair discoloration could be seen, but would not be expected to be permanent. The APSS assistant recommended that the owner monitor the dog at home and call back with questions.
