On the morning of July 29, 2011 the owner's neighbor reported that the owner noticed the cat was symptomatic. Later that morning, the owner's neighbor contacted the Animal Product Safety Service (APSS) to obtain help. The APSS veterinarian stated that tremors and seizures can occur when the product is applied to cats. The APSS assistant recommended that the owner take the cat to the veterinarian, have the veterinarian call for information, and call back with questions.

The APSS veterinarian stated that the substance was considered to have a low likelihood of causing the clinical situation. Multiple attempts to update the case were unsuccessful; therefore, the outcome is unknown. Label states not to use this dog product on cat.
