1-25838361- The reporter, an employee of a (name), reports an animal may have been exposed to an herbicide containing the active ingredient flumioxizin. The reporter stated he had been contacted by the customer that had purchased/applied the product. The customer stated he had diluted the product at a ratio of 2oz of product to 10 gallons of water and had subsequently sprayed his property two days prior to the initial contact with the registrant. The rate of application and the nature of the property (agricultural, residential, etc) were not disclosed. The customer stated his neighbors dog had been tied up in his yard within ten feet of the application area during the application. The pet owner had told the customer that the pet had died the same day of application. The signalment of the animal was not described. Signs leading up to the animal's death were not described. Any veterinary care provided was not described. The customer had stated the only potential exposure that may have been possible would be inhalation of drift. The reporter was advised the level of exposure as described would be expected to yield no more than mild respiratory irritation. Sudden death would not be expected. Something else was likely affecting the animals health. No further information is available.
