On October 11, 2011 the owner noticed the cat was drooling. About an hour later, the cat's drooling ended. On October 12, 2011 the owner observed that the cat had hematuria. The hematuria ended on the morning of October 13, 2011, but about an hour later the owner found the cat dead. On October 19, 2011 the owner contacted the company to obtain help. The company's veterinarian stated that the main concern was for a taste reaction, gastrointestinal (GI) upset, and dermal irritation.

The company's veterinarian stated that the substance was considered to have a doubtful likelihood of causing the clinical situation. A necropsy was not available. A follow up was not performed because the cat died and no additional information was expected.
