8/16/2011 Caller installed a new pad in the lantern two weeks ago. Caller did not wash his hands afterward and touched his lips. Caller felt a slight burning sensation on his lips, and washed his hands and his face. The next morning, caller had a blister on the left side of his lip. The blister cleared up in a week. Caller now has a blister on the right side of his lip, about half of a centimeter in size. Caller has been applying a salve to the affected area. He admits the lip sore resembles a cold sore or cankor sore. 8/25/2011 Callback to the original caller for follow up information. Caller's pharmacist recommended an ointment that he applied for one week. The blister has resolved, but his lip is still tender.
