1-27658566- The reporter, a pet owner, indicated her animal had been exposed to an insecticidal product containing the active ingredients tetrachlorvinphos and methoprene. The pet owner stated she applied the product to six cats within a couple of weeks of her initial contact. After application she placed the animal in separated kennels as the all seemed agitated, were panting and hot tot the touch. The pet owner rinsed all animals. Her six month female Balinese cat (Subform III, #1) died six days prior to her initial contact with the registrant. All remaining cats (Subform III, #2) had developed salivation agitation, were hot to the touch, wheezing, sneezing, eye discharge, and had burn marks? on the application site. The pet owner stated she spoke to a Veterinarian by phone that recommended she give Benadryl to all animals. On follow up four days later the pet owner indicated all animals were improved and were not brought to the veterinarian. The signs seen and outcome seen would not be expected following the use of the product as labeled. No further information is available.
