1-27194689- The reporter, a pet owner, indicated her animal may have bee exposed to an insecticide containing the active ingredient tetrachlorvinphos. The reporter indicate she treated her adult animals with the product three days prior to her initial contact with the registrant. The pet owner indicated her five week male Pomeranian puppy (Subform III, #1) was not in the house while the product was being applied. The caller reports she noted lethargy in the young animal the evening prior to her report. She reported the animal was found dead the morning of her initial contact with the registrant. She had brought the animal to the veterinarian following its death and the vet had noted what was suspected to be flea powder in the animal's nares. The pet owner was advised exposure of this type even if observed would not be expected to elicit the outcome seen. No further information is available.
