1-26865193 The reporter, a pet owner, indicated his animal may have been exposed to an herbicide containing the active ingredient Iron (Ferric HEDTA). The reporter indicated his three and one half year female eighty pound Labrador retriever had demonstrated the signs of vomiting, lethargy and partial paralysis four days prior to his initial contact with the registrant. The pet owner indicated he had applied the product to his lawn the week prior to the animal's illness and it had access to the application area. He was concerned the animal may have eaten some foliage to which the product had been applied. He did not describe an observed or discreet exposure incident. He reported he was investigating possible reasons for the animal¿s recent illness. The pet owner was advised the time line and signs seen were inconsistent with the toxicity profile of the active ingredient and formulation of the product. The pet owner was advised to follow up further with his veterinarian regarding proper diagnosis and treatment. The pet owner could not be reached for follow-up. No further information is available.
