1-26938193- The reporter, an animal owner, indicated her animal may have been exposed to a pesticide containing the active ingredient diphacinone. The animal owner indicated her one and one half year seventy pound goat had access to an area where she had observed pellets of the product on the ground. She had indicated the product was not applied but spilled in that location. The product was observed spilled one day prior to her initial contact with the registrant. No ingestion was observed. The animal was observed down unable to rise, vocalizing, and refusing food immediately preceding the call. The animal owner was advised of the mechanism of action, and current standards of care following accidental animal ingestions of the active ingredient. On follow up the animal owner indicated the goat had died within two hours of the initial contact with the registrant. No veterinary assistance was obtained. No further information is available.
