1-26439881- The reporter, a pet owner, indicates his animal may have been exposed to an herbicide containing the active ingredient Ferric HEDTA. The pet owner indicated the product had been applied his residential yard the day prior. The pet owner stated his eleven month one hundred and ten pound mixed breed dog had developed the signs of vomiting, vomiting blood, diarrhea and facial swelling the morning of his initial contact with the registrant. The pet owner did not indicate a discreet exposure incident nor did he indicate access to the application area. He stated his animal has been known to ingest grass. The pet owner was advised of the potential gastric irritant effect of the product when directly ingested. He was advised the severity of the signs seen were inconsistent with toxicity profile of the active ingredient. He was advised to seek immediate veterinary care. The pet owner did not respond to follow up attempts. No further information is available.
