1-26393619- The reporter, a pet owner indicates his animal may have been exposed to an herbicide containing the active ingredients 2,4-D (dimethylamine), mecoprop-p (dimethylamine), dicamba (dimethylamine), and dimethylamine. The pet owner stated his five year male eight pound miniature poodle had been allowed access to a lawn where the diluted product had been applied the night prior. The pet had returned home three hours prior to his initial contact with the registrant with muscle rigidity the caller described as a seizure, foaming at the mouth, vomiting, and diarrhea. The pet owner was advised of the gastrointestinal irritant effect direct access to the product can have. The severity of the signs described was advised to be inconsistent with the toxicity profile of the active ingredients and the exposure described. The pet owner was advised to seek veterinary assistance. The pet owner did not respond to follow up attempts. No further information is available.
